The Davis family lives in Ngatea, near the area where Karl grew up on a dairy farm. Prior to finding his niche in country real estate Karl gained a Bachelor of Leisure Studies degree with the focus on marketing and computer science, and worked for Microsoft as an engineer, sales manager and trainer. Karl supports schools and sports clubs in his regions and his self-run annual Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $56,500 for New Zealand Guide Dog Services and local non-profit organisations. He has played rugby for Hauraki North Rugby Club for 25 years and coaches both youth rugby and hockey.
